Employment dispute in Christchurch where a business faced consequences for dismissing an employee before their start date, resulting in an $18.5K payout.
Last week thousands of business owners and representatives from across Canterbury donned their best dress and black ties for one of New Zealand’s largest business awards ceremonies – the Champion Canterbury Business Awards.
For 15 years, the awards have been celebrating the excellence, innovation, and success of businesses and charities across the Canterbury Region and we’re proud to have worked with many of the finalists nominated and awarded over this period.
From tourism to manufacturing, technological to trades, more than 150 businesses entered this year’s awards and 14 were awarded at Horncastle Arena, following rigorous judging from an expert panel of 30.
EQ Consultants work with businesses of all types and sizes and at various levels, whether it’s to support senior management with a restructure, or provide leadership training and development. Through this, we have a great appreciation for the dedication and sometimes difficult choices businesses face, which makes events like these even more important and are a positive way of recognising their hard work and contribution.
