There has been a lot of media attention around customs workers refusing to get the COVID-19 vaccination.
Last week thousands of business owners and representatives from across Canterbury donned their best dress and black ties for one of New Zealand’s largest business awards ceremonies – the Champion Canterbury Business Awards.
For 15 years, the awards have been celebrating the excellence, innovation, and success of businesses and charities across the Canterbury Region and we’re proud to have worked with many of the finalists nominated and awarded over this period.
From tourism to manufacturing, technological to trades, more than 150 businesses entered this year’s awards and 14 were awarded at Horncastle Arena, following rigorous judging from an expert panel of 30.
EQ Consultants work with businesses of all types and sizes and at various levels, whether it’s to support senior management with a restructure, or provide leadership training and development. Through this, we have a great appreciation for the dedication and sometimes difficult choices businesses face, which makes events like these even more important and are a positive way of recognising their hard work and contribution.
Congratulations to all of this year’s finalists and award-winners, including Mark and Nikki Gilbert from Hassle-free Tours who were nominated in the Champion Tourism, Retail and Hospital category for small enterprises.
Jenny Barr from EQ Consultants attended this year’s awards, she said: “This is an event that we attend each year; just being there makes you feel great about our region and the innovative businesses that operate here. Each year we’re amazed by their commitment to supporting and contributing to the Canterbury region and 2017 was certainly no exception.”
