The Opportunity
This is a pivotal leadership role operating as the CEO’s second-in-command (2IC), with enterprise-wide accountability across finance, risk, compliance, and shared services.

- Lead enterprise planning, budgeting, and performance frameworks aligned to strategic priorities.
- Translate strategy into execution by aligning cross-functional priorities and lifting delivery discipline.
- Provide high-quality Board reporting on performance, risks, and value creation opportunities.
- Lead scenario modelling, investment evaluation, and capital allocation decisions.
- Own enterprise risk, financial governance, and compliance frameworks across all jurisdictions.
- Ensure statutory, tax, and regulatory compliance in New Zealand and global markets.
- Oversee legal, regulatory, and quality frameworks to protect enterprise value and reputation.
- Lead finance, quality, and enterprise systems to ensure scalable, integrated business capability.
- Recommend systems, data, and reporting improvements to enable better decision-making.
- Ensure the organisation continues to have robust business management systems and decision-grade data.
- Act as a key member of the Senior Leadership Team, influencing enterprise-wide outcomes.
- Mentor and develop finance and quality leaders while lifting commercial capability across the business.
- Foster a high-performance, collaborative culture aligned with company values.
You are an experienced, commercially astute finance leader who thrives in a strategic, enterprise-facing role and enjoys working closely with a CEO and Board.
You will bring:
- CA qualification (or equivalent).
- Senior leadership experience in finance & operations within a global, manufacturing, export, or multi-jurisdiction environment.
- Proven background experience enabling you to operate in a 2IC capacity to the CEO.
- Proven capability in strategy, governance, and Board-level engagement.
- Strong commercial acumen, including investment evaluation and/or M&A exposure.
- Experience leading or overseeing risk, regulatory, and compliance frameworks
- A collaborative, low-ego leadership style with the ability to influence across functions.
- The ability to translate complexity into clear, actionable insights.
