Management Accountant
Tumblar Products is looking for a Management Accountant to join their Christchurch team.
Reporting directly to the General Manager and leading one direct report, this is a key position at the heart of the business, combining financial expertise with real commercial influence.
About the Role
This is more than a reporting role. You’ll be a trusted partner to the leadership team, helping translate financial data into meaningful insights that drive performance, improve margins, and support growth.
You’ll take ownership of budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis, while also contributing to continuous improvement across systems, processes, and reporting.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead or support budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
- Deliver monthly management reporting with clear insights and commentary
- Analyse performance, costs, and margins to identify opportunities
- Support strategic decisions through financial modelling and business cases
- Partner with teams across the business to improve performance
- Oversee cost and inventory analysis, driving efficiency improvements
- Support and enhance financial systems, reporting, and automation
- Assist with audit and compliance requirements
- Provide guidance and support to your direct report
You’re a commercially minded accountant who enjoys being close to the business and influencing outcomes, not just reporting on them.
You’ll likely bring:
- A relevant accounting qualification (CA/CPA or working towards)
- Experience in management accounting or financial analysis
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into insights
- Confidence working with systems and data (Excel essential, ERP experience preferred)
- The ability to communicate clearly and build relationships across the business
