Plus Studio – Architectural Practice
Christchurch & Auckland, New Zealand
Plus Studio is seeking an experienced and capable Office Administrator to support our Directors and wider team across our Christchurch and Auckland studios in this part-time position. We’re looking for someone confident, proactive, and experienced in administration, with a solid understanding of finance processes and business systems.
About the Role
You will provide high-level administrative and operational support to the Directors, ensuring the smooth running of the practice across both locations. You’ll work closely with our accountant, support project setup processes, and keep key administrative and financial tasks on track.
This role is a part-time position of 25 hours a week - ideally worked across 5 days. It will suit someone who is organised, detail-oriented, and enjoys working with people, while not being responsible for managing a team.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage new staff onboarding, ensuring a smooth and professional start
- Monitor and respond to general office email enquiries, taking action where required
- Liaise with external accountant and assist with invoicing and financial administration
- Set up and maintain projects within internal systems
- Process Director expenses accurately and in a timely manner
- Oversee and track monthly administrative tasks, including bills and recurring obligations
- Support the Directors with general administrative coordination and workflow organisation
- Proven experience in a similar administrative or office management role
- Strong financial literacy, with experience supporting invoicing, expenses, or bookkeeping processes
- Highly competent with systems, software, and digital tools (experience with project-based systems is a plus)
- Excellent organisation and attention to detail
- Confident communicator who can work effectively with a range of people
- Proactive, dependable, and able to manage multiple priorities independently
You’ll be part of a respected New Zealand architectural practice, working closely with Directors and contributing to the smooth operation of a creative, fast-paced environment. This is a role where your experience and initiative will be valued, and where you can make a real impact on how the practice runs.
