Production Manager
Overview
We are excited to be collaborating with Metalworld in the recruitment of a Production Manager – this is the type of role that doesn’t come along often and will provide an opportunity for someone already at the top of their game to consolidate their career, or alternatively someone working at team lead level to step up and grow theirs.

About the Role
As Production Manager, your primary accountabilities fit into five core areas:
- Leadership & People

Key Responsibilities
On a day-to-day basis your role will be both busy and diverse. An overview is as follows:
- Lead CNC, laser, welding and assembly teams
- Utilise your technical knowledge across adherence to CAD/CAM production specifications, workflow and technical issues management, and equipment maintenance
- Oversee customer service delivery to the highest level
- Drive the HSW programme in terms of practices, policy & protocols, training and enhancements
- Monitor and report on production KPIs, track costs & output, focus on quality metrics, conduct root cause analysis where required
- Actively participate as part of the leadership team as well as work cross functionally to meet company goals
This is a hands-on leadership role, ideal for someone who thrives in an ever-changing, dynamic environment. You will be comfortable performing under pressure, demonstrate exceptional time management, and be a natural leader.
Much of your career will be in the sheet metal industry in a variety of positions, providing you with significant depth of technical experience and the innate ability to translate our clients concept sketches into fabricated products.
You will have had exposure to ERP systems and have a thorough understanding of industry 4.0 methodologies.
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Proven experience leading factory teams, ideally within the sheet metal industry
- A strong background in manufacturing or a similar technical environment
- Ability to implement and coach the principles of 5S methodology and industry 4.0
- Excellent written and verbal communication, and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and cloud-based Saas systems
- Strengths in critical analysis and problem solving
