On behalf of Mega Pacific New Zealand, we’re looking for a National Sales Manager to lead a small, dedicated sales team and spearhead their revenue growth initiatives. As a subsidiary of Italian based Interpump Group, you will be joining an organisation made up of 100+ companies across 36 countries, with over 9000 employees. In this pivotal role, you’ll collaborate closely with their senior management team in Australia while shaping the New Zealand sales strategy and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.

There is flexibility as to where this role can be based: Tauranga, Auckland or Christchurch. If outside of Tauranga, regular travel will be required.
Your leadership will ensure their sales approach aligns with market trends and customer needs. This a hands-on role and you will be working in the (sales) trenches every day. In terms of your leadership journey, you may be starting out (but have strong technical expertise) or may have been working at this level for some time.

What You’ll Do
- Serve as the principal leader and manager for Mega Pacific New Zealand, focusing on sales generation and people management
- Develop and execute effective sales strategies to achieve ambitious revenue goals
- Lead the sales team to deliver outstanding results and reach their full potential
- Proven experience in sales leadership, ideally within the transport or hydraulics industry (but at the very least, a technical field, think mechanical, electrical, diesel engines, heavy plant). Applications will also be considered by candidates looking to move into a sales leadership role
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop teams
- Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
- A “think big” attitude and an innovative style towards driving success
- The ability to travel across New Zealand as part of the role
