Christchurch managers and leaders attend EQ training event

What makes a good manager? Why do people want to work for you? Those were some of the questions bounced around at EQ Consultants’ latest public training event.

Managers and team leaders from across Christchurch were welcomed to the Developing Effective Managers programme – an event which is designed to improve knowledge and skills in core management competencies.

Led by EQ’s Steve Kennedy and Viv Patterson, the event covered a range of management and development modules, from effective communication and people management, to improving both employee and manager performance.

This was supported by a mix of interactive activities, a personality assessment with an analysis report, participant engagement, and the most effective type of learning fuel – tasty morning tea and lunch provided by Caffe 1808 Christchurch.

Following the event, Viv and Steve said: “It was great to welcome leaders and managers at all levels to our latest Developing Effective Managers event, which not only aims to improve knowledge and skills in core management competencies, it allows people to share their experiences and learn how to apply processes effectively to their business or situation. We had lots of positive participation and involvement and look forward to our next event in the near future. Thanks also to Caffe 1808 for hosting – the refreshments were well received.”
